Recover SD card OS X

Secure Digital cards are widely used in the field of photography, because of its small size and high storage capacity. Imagine you have accidentally format your SD card which contains precious pictures from your sister’s wedding, friend’s birthday party, tracking excursion and lots of other photos. There are also numbers of reasons that lead to loss of data from digital cameras or camcorders.

You were clicking photos or using cameras to shoot video, suddenly a message is shown up stating “Disk needs to be formatted” as soon as SD card is connected to your Mac Machine. You may have ejected SD card and then inserted again but there is no change in behavior, you were continuously getting this message. So you format SD card to use it again, but as soon as click on the format option you lose all your images, videos and other important files contained in it. It generally happens due to software or hardware conflicts or if you switch between one Operating System to other one. You may also come across “Synchronization error” when you try to synchronize files from camcorder or camera to Mac OSX, at that time if you remove or disconnect SD card from that device then you may receive an error message which will cause loss of files. You may also face “Compatibility error” if you use SD card of your camera to other camcorder or camera. You may unintentionally delete files from SD card that are stored in multimedia storage devices by pressing “Delete all” option. Or while previewing files in Trash to check whether you need those files, you may accidentally delete that file from your computer and later found that you really need that file. Transferring files from SD card to system or vice versa, at that time if your camera’s battery is low, there is a high chance of photos getting deleted from SD card. Due to low battery, some of the files may get transferred incompletely and some of them get deleted due to unexpected shut down of the device.

Though you cannot help your SD card from losing data but at least you can try to take certain precautionary steps to prevent it from corruption or deleting files by mistake.
